Have you been looking for a way to be involved and stay up to date on what is going on in the BioWare fandom? Consider being an editor for Biowarenews!! A daily fandom newsletter - housed on LiveJournal and syndicated on both Dreamwidth and tumblr - that focuses on compiling all of the BioWare related topics and discussions appearing on LJ/DW, BioWare related news stories appearing on via other news sources on the internet, and BioWare related fanfiction posted at Ao3.
These include posts related to the Dragon Age, Mass Effect, SWTOR, KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, Warhammer Online, and Baldur’s Gate video gaming series.
Both "regular" editor and "back-up" editor positions are available!
Information for regular editors: The most important requirement of being a regular editor is being able to commit to a regular, weekly schedule where you are responsible for collecting links (provided through an already established feed system - no need to hunt for news stories yourself!) and post the newsletter on a designated day. As a regular editor, you'll get to be a part of the fandom you love, and help others find out about fics, discussions, news stories, and artwork that they may otherwise be missing. (And that YOU might also be missing!)
Currently we have a position available for a full-time editor on either Tuesdays or Thursdays (your choice!), with a short-term opening on Mondays now available! These positions will be a full-time, once-a-week posting position.
Information for back-up editors: Back-up editors are life-savers! They tract posts over at the newsletter managing community in order to stay up-to-date with scheduling changes/conflicts, and help requests, so that they can step in when a full-time editor is unable to make a post.
If you are interested in joining the team, please leave a comment/send an ask with the following information:
Username: (What it says on the tin.)
Best method of contact: (LJ message, email, chat, tumblr ask, etc.)
Availability: (Do you want a full-time position? To be a back-up? Are weekends off limits? Please let us know!)
Please note that you WILL need to have an account with LiveJournal (or be willing to sign up for one!) in order to be an editor.
